I love to decorate for any holiday, especially Christmas! I love the rustic elements of the season and always try to use them in my decor. I decided to do something different for my Christmas table this year, usually it's filled with glittered fruits, rustic and nature inspired pieces. This year I opted for a little more glam and color!
I went to my favorite store, Target and was lost in the sea of new decorations and holiday sets they have this year. Is it me or is Target just killing it this year with their design pieces? Not easy for my pocketbook, that is for sure!
I decided while I was at Target I thought it would be fun to show how anyone can style a fun, beautiful tablescape all for under $100.
I searched the dollar section first, because I can't get out of Target without hitting that spot! You can always find such amazing little goodies. I found these tea towels that I decided to use as napkins.
For the silverware, I could have spent $20 per set of the gold pieces (which don't get me wrong, are gorgeous), but that didn't fit within my budget. I considered using some from my silver set, until I stumbled upon one of Targets glorious end caps and saw a box of gold plastic ware. They are sturdy, look great and fit within my budget!
For each place setting I found beautiful gold and cream placemats, gold chargers, red dinner plates and white salad plates. I love how they all looked together. My favorite is the edging of the white plates, so pretty, yet simple.
I used wine glasses that I had on hand and bought these cute cocktail glasses with gold etching. They fit the table perfectly!
Each place setting received a favor, a smaller holiday Cracker on each plate. These are one of my favorite traditions of Christmas dinner with my family.
For the centerpiece I used a rustic tree I had from years ago (Target) and added two bright mint green bottle brush trees. The mini red reindeer tealight holders were a cute addition, I loved how this setup turned out.
Hopefully this provided you with some inspiration for your holiday table decorating. The best part of any table are the loved ones that you get to gather around it with. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
